Professional care-giving can be both fulfilling yet depleting. This workshop is designed to support professional caregivers in maximizing their well-being, both personally and professionally
Participants will be able to identify the ways in which professional care-giving enhances as well as undermines our self-care. They will also be able to identify the hazards of professional care-giving and distinguish between compassion fatigue, vicarious traumatization, burnout and ambiguous endings.
Participants will be able to describe a model of practitioner resiliency and identify strategies for prevention and recovery from the hazards of
professional care-giving.
By utilizing self-assessment instruments and developing a personalized self-care plan, participants can develop and leave the workshop with an individualized plan to be implemented within three and twelve months as a means of sustaining professional and personal resilience. Included will be time for networking and affirming interactions with other professionals committed to self-care.

$129.00; After April 8th: $159.00
Conference registration fee includes printed materials for each participant and lunch, which will be ordered by each participant from an eleven-item hotel menu early in the workshop and later served in the meeting room.

Pre-registration is required no later than April 17 and is completed upon receipt of the registration form and conference fee. The registration form can be accessed on this website (on the Workshop page). Group rates are available upon request.
Certificate
Certificate
You will receive a certificate of attendance for this workshop. This can be utilized to verify 6 hours of Continuing Education and Certification with Green Cross Academy of Traumatology as a Compassion Fatigue Educator.
